One of the frontrunners of this year's Miss Universe Thailand withdrew from the contest sighting that her priority is to continue her PhD Degree, her study will be affected or will be bound by MUT's 2 year contract if she wins or be in the Top 5.

She was seen emotional when she and MUT's National Director informed the public of her decision through one of their events.
But she will continue to participate in the Preliminary tomorrow and Finals on the 30th without scores from the judges.
