Re: Binibining Pilipinas 2022 - NATIONAL COSTUME PORTRAIT
Binibini 5 Karen Laurrie Mendoza – Iloilo City
Her bayanihan and binukot costume is inspired by her advocacy on mental health. She aspires to help other people lift what they heavily carry, so they can move forward in life.
Binibini 2 Krizzia Lynn Moreno - Camarines Sur
Inspired by Amor a la Virgen de Peñafrancia, homage to the Bicolanos unwavering faith and devotion to the Our Lady of Peñafrancia or as we fondly call INA. The estrellas symbolizes our INA as Stella Matutina or the Morning Star- the light that serves as a guide to all of Bicolandia and the rosary which was meticulously handcrafted to give honor to Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary.
Binibini 15 Nyca Mae Bernardo - Guiguinto, Bulacan
Her entire costume is a representation of Halamanan Festival in Guiguinto, Bulacan. The enormous regalia was made of different kinds of plants and flowers creating a garden-like arch. Adorned with crystals, beads and butterflies all over the entire arbour. The costume itself is a modern Filipiniana made from Singkaban, a shaving bamboo art that is famous in Bulacan.
Binibini 17 Chelsea Fernandez - Tacloban City
Embellished with authentic materials produced in Eastern Visayas, her costume is a representation of Tacloban City. Symbolizing Taclobanons journey towards sustainable socio-economic development as represented by the lighted San Juanico Bridge, The Bridge of Love.
Binibini 14 Joanna Day - Bulacan
Inspired by leaf weaving - puni which is a dying art of Bulacan. Puni is a tagalog term meaning - to beautify or to decorate. Some are shaped into birds, fishes and other animals, some are weaved and dyed to become our palaspas on lenten season. Not only is it aesthetically beautiful, it is also functional as this holds rice, commonly known as “puso”. Although the art form did not originate in Bulacan, the Bulakenyos pioneered in the revival of this ephemeral art in our country. It exemplies our character, creativity, simplicity and artistry, a product of hardwork and love.

Re: Binibining Pilipinas 2022 - NATIONAL COSTUME PORTRAIT
Binibini 36 Jannine Navarro - Tanjay City, Negros Oriental
"SALIDA", this creation took inspiration from Tanjay City's patron saint, Senior Santiago Apostol El Mayor (St. James The Greater), together with the image of The Blessed Virgin Mary in honor of her first significant apparition to Sr. Santiago Apostol and position them in their beautifully decorated carroza, ready for "Salida".
Binibini 19 Ira Patricia Malaluan - Quezon Province
The Vulcan De Agua, Mt. Banahaw is considered as the holy mountain, a spiritually-charged location where bodies of water like falls, streams and ponds maketh the ‘Blessed Water’. As the stories go, the waters from the mountains are said to be an effective cure for illnesses, forecast of fortune, and charm against bad spirits. Far from the lava-releasing volcanoes in the country, this silent and sleeping wonder is said to release water and stones whenever it perfectly finds its way to eruption. Unpopular and mysterious, yet beautifully destructive and powerful—the embodiment of womanhood who is always ready to conquer.
Binibini 33 Mary Justinne Punsalang - Cavite
An epitome of a modern Filipina who is brave and fights for what is right and true, but at the same time is inspiring. She is ready to soar to achieve her dreams and showcase to the globe the diverse beauty of the Philippines.
Bb. 35 Diana Mackey - Nueva Ecija
"MANGGAGAPAS " (REAPER)
Derived from the Rice Granary of the Philippines, Nueva Ecija is dressed in a Manggapas-inspired costume to commemorate the abundance of its rice crop production since the twentieth century. It represents the harvest and hard work of our forefathers mowing abundantly. Accentuated with the Filipino carabao that represents Filipino resilience and diligence.
The cultural aesthetics of this masterpiece is found through the rich history of the Filipino people. Unhindered, distinct, and diverse. This extravagant piece also represents an enduring illustration of an ancient culture and abundance that surpassed various challenges and setbacks posed by modernization.
