Gugulethu Mayisela (SOUTH AFRICA 2023)

| Gugulethu Mayisela (@gugulethu.mayisela), an 18-year-old chartered accounting student, was crowned the new Miss Grand South Africa 2023



The grand finale, hosted at the prestigious Atterbury Theatre, showcased the finest display of beauty, intelligence, and charisma, as Gugu bested 23 other outstanding contestants to claim the coveted title.

Gugulethu sees herself as one of the new generation South African women who will “take up space” as an educated, vibrant and positive female. She was born and bred in Johannesburg however, she currently resides in the Mother City, Cape Town. Confident, ambitious and driven are three words that best describe Gugu.

She has a passion for humanity as well as it’s well-being and thus hopes to use the Miss Grand platform to be the voice of the most vulnerable in our society while using education as the driving force. Gugulethu believes that you are confined only by the walls that you build for yourself and hopes to share this message with whoever she may cross paths with along her journey
