Jamaica will participate in the Mr. World Festival for the first time in 26 years.

After weeks of activities and challenges, the chosen one was Tarique Barrett @tarique_barrett .

Barrett was elected on Sunday night, in the conclusion of the final event. He is a student at The University of the West Indies, where he is pursuing a double major in marketing and accounting.

Electronic engineer Tavar Brown was the first runner-up and digital marketing specialist Dario Lopez, was the second runner-up.

Jamaica participated in the first edition of Mr World, in 1996, with Richard Nevers. He was a Top 5 finalist. In 1998, in Portugal, Kinte Thelwell also performed quite well, placing among the Top 6 finalists. 26 years later, Tarique will put Jamaica back on the world stage!

Vietnam will host the 2024 Mr. World Festival from November 5th to the 23rd. The final event will take place in Phan Thiet.
