Josef O’Brien

Josef O’Brien, representing the USA in Mister International 2024, hails from Cleveland, Ohio. At 24, he already holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Ohio State University and works as a Project Engineer. With over 10 years of experience in rugby, two years in surfing, and 15+ years in skiing/snowboarding, Josef is an avid sportsman who thrives on physical challenges. He credits his grandfather as the person who taught him valuable lessons in courage, pushing him to tackle life’s challenges head-on.

Josef’s proudest moments include graduating Cum Laude from Ohio State University and winning the Big 10 XVs Championship. His goal is to leave a lasting impression on the world, both through his rugby career and as a dual citizen connecting with parts of the world beyond the USA. As he competes for Mister International USA 2024, Josef is eager to show that stereotypes don’t define you and to push boundaries as a “rugby-playing engineer.”
