Miss International 2009 Boycott

CHARMPRESS is boycotting the 49th Annual Miss International Beauty Pageant 2009 headed by ICA . Early this year, we received the news that Miss International could be in China . But the news is now being confirmed. The Pageant official has just staged a conference in BeiJing China and named the City of ChengDu as the 2009 Host City.

The Reason we quitted this year Coverage as follow ：

1. Miss International 2008 of Spain appeared in dozen magazine covers promoting a Spanish brand of Real Fur fashion. The fur brand stressed on the quality of the real furs they produced.

2. People in Chengdu Sichuan Province of CHINA eat dogs! Meat of dogs is a famous dish in ChengDu. ChengDu will serve as the host City for Miss International 2009!

WE URGE YOUR BEAUTY QUEENS TO BOYCOTT THE 2009 EVENT!

This could be a lot to ask! We plead to your national representative to withdraw from this year event. The 2009 competition is no longer a worthy cause.

Please refuse to eat a dog, refuse to wear a fur coat and refuse to participate in the promotion of the City ChengDu . We do not want to promote food made of dogs! We do not want to see dog being killed for food! We don't want to hug a woman who promotes Fur! And we do not want to travel to Chengdu to meet dog eaters!

Agree! The Charmpress is - no comment. Last year they boycotted Czech Republic because of the one pic where Zuzana has a fur around her neck - on some fashion show. She finished on the 4th place, so what. Miss International org. don´t need any Charmpresses at all!
