August 15, 2009. Lula Gezu Weldegebriel, a twenty year-old model and student, won thhe 2009 Miss World Ethiopia beauty pageant in Adis Abeba. Lula will represent her country in South Africa on December for the Miss World finals. She has has recently participated in the Face of Africa contest.

Lula is in her first year of university studying psychology. Her ambition is to become a psychiatrist. Hobbies include traditional Ethiopian dancing, swimming and watching movies. She describes herself as honest and loyal. “Be yourself and work hard to achieve your dreams” is her motto.
