A LATIN AMERICAN SWEEP?

A continental sweep has never happened after the birth of Miss Earth. It almost happened in 2004 and 2006. However, there were sweeps in the following years prior to it (Miss Earth):

1961 Europe
MU: Marlene Schmidt (Germany)
MW: Rosemarie Frankland (UK)
MI: Stam van Baer (Netherlands)

1989 Europe
MU: Angela Visser (Netherlands)
MW: Aneta Kreglicka (Poland)
MI: Iris Klein (Germany)

Will this be the first of the era?



Will Miss World complete the sweep? Or will it be the spoiler? What's your take on this?

I believe it wont be Mexico,the only one with a serious shot in MW from the latinas is Panama imo,very consistent girl through out the fast tracks. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY PR IS CONSIDERED A FAVOURITE....SERIOUSLY!

IM DOWN TO THESE 4 GIRLS: PANAMA,SCOTLAND,GIBRALTAR,VIETNAM.IF IT IS FOR A SWEEP TO APPEAR MY BET IS PANAMA WILL DO THE TRICK.BUT I HAVE TO ADD:THIS WILL BE A BAD SWEEP...NOT FOND OF THE ALREADY ELECTED QUEENS THAT MUCH....BUT IF IT IS PANAMA ILL BE SATISFIED A LITTLE.LETS SEE.

But an cuestion... who happen if she gaves the major surprices & win repeating the succses of India in 2000: when won MU & MW the same year

I also think the same. I don't think everyone is ready to have masculine Miss World. All the best for Maria anyway, I think she will penetrate Top 15 at max.

i think thats the prob dear,she is too fierce for the standards of miss world..just think the types Julia chooses...they are fierce to a certain point but thats it.But u are right,for a top 15 spot with osmel behind i should not underestimate her. what do u think of panama....she is 1st runner up in sw,finalist in gown-there is a possibility she was 3rd or 4th there-and if thats true.....what do u think?

Panama can be an sure dark horse for sure I love her but no more than Mexico

I think a latin will not win
But if it has to be a latin, then I hope it's Mexico. But somehow I find Mexico too beautiful to win

If Brazil became the new Miss World, I wouldn't mind that she is from "America Latina".

I don't mind if we'll have a PR or a Mexican winner... Of the current queens, I only like the Miss International winner...

Obviously, Morley made it sure that it won't happen by crowning a candidate from a BRITISH territory and one of the most forgettable face (almost ugly when she smiles). A stolen crown again!
