Julia needs some help from Trump about how to make a pageant an entertainment extravaganza.

I second that. I mean, the girls are beautiful and talented, and yet during the final, they don't do anything. THats what I hate the most about it. My ideal format would be: You start the pageant where all the girls parade in evening gown (as they already do)...then you call the semifinalists. Then, perhaps a swimsuit competition for the semifinalists and then top7 and interview and question/answer.
I just don't get it how they call the 16-20 semifinalists, then a commercial break and then, when we get back from the break, to call the 7 finalists...I mean, whats the point of calling 16 semifinalists when you already know the 7 finalists before hand...I mean, I just don't get. Thats the thing that bothers me the most.

Seriously, i dont see it happening. I think Julia Morley has canceled the pageant format and wants Miss World out of the stereotypes(stereotypes that Miss World itself certainly helped to be established the first place) for good. She seems satisfied with what she is giving, she perceives it as Beauty Olympics and she focuses presenting skills and talent on stage of contestants than what is common place for pageants. And definately the goal is presenting the different quality she wants MW to have and to be distinguished from MU.From one point of view i like it alot. Even for a show with not much happening it seems classier and more glam than MU in my eyes. But i agree when not enough is going on on stage......what is for the viwer to see? no suspense,no highlights.....it sometimes resembles a boring poetic night with tea and sympathy among the guests.....

Re: The production...?
i find mw better than mu much more classier and the girls can actually communicate well and msot of the time great reps are chsoen from all the nations and recieve great opportunities career wise that differer from mu. i agree they should spice it up a bit. they dont need the swimsuit com pbecause i odnt want it to be like mu which has also been boring me these past few yrs. but a parade of evening gowns would be ncie and even more talents and costumes. this yr wasnt so bad as i enjoyed the african dancing at the end alot. lol tatum looked like she was ready to break out and start dancing with them.and i enjoyed miss candas signing. i mjsut mad its gonan be held in vietnam once again next yr. but in 06, 07, and 08 the show was pretty enjoyable
