Miss Deutschland 2010 - Zallascht Sadat!!!

MISS DEUTSCHLAND 2010
The countdown is on.....on June 13 Germany will have a new beauty queen! The Miss Deutschland contest will be broadcasted live from Bürgerhaus Quadrath Ichendorf at 8.00 pm.
Out of 24 finalists a prominent panel of judges will choose the new MISS DEUTSCHLAND 2010. She will then represent the German colors at the biggest and most prestigousinternational pageants (Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Europe,...). Furthermore she will support the different activities of the RTL Spendenmarathon (charity event sponsored by RTL) during her year as Miss Deutschland and prove that beauty has a purpose.
The finalists will be revealed soon.

Zeynep Ugur (Miss Berlin MGO 2007) has been crowned Miss Turkuaz Germany and will participate in the Miss Deutschland final next June 13.

Referring to this newspaper article, Miss Deutschland 2010 - Zallascht Sadat - will represent Germany at the Miss International 2010 pageant. Zallascht, who is of Afghan origin, was officially crowned Miss Afghanistan 2008 in the Miss Afghanistan beauty pageant held by Afghan Models in Hamburg, Germany. Zallascht is the first official elected Miss Afghanistan since Zohra Yousuf Daoud was elected in 1972. She represented Afghanistan at the Miss Intercontinental 2009 pageant.
She is currently working on her master's degree in business administration. She has created the Zallascht Sadat Foundation with the goal of preventing the spread of HIV in Afghanistan.
Zallascht is 24 years old and stands 172cm.

BERLIN - THE winner of a Miss Germany 2010 beauty pageant was in hot water on Thursday after admitting lying about her age, but she said that she had done so when fleeing Afghanistan as a refugee.
'Oh well! It doesn't really does matter does it?' the Bild daily quoted Miss Deutschland, Zallascht Sadat, who had given her age as 24 when in fact she is 28, as saying. 'The main thing is I look great.' The brunette beauty said she had had a justifiable reason.
'When I fled Afghanistan with my family ... I pretended I was younger in order to make getting into the United States easier,' she explained.
Her family, however, ended up settling in the western German city of Frankfurt.

She's really too stupid to confess this! For me this is only a way to get attention. Her passport states that she is 24 (otherwise she wouldn't have been allowed to participate in the Miss Deutschland pageant), so by law she should have the right to participate in Miss International, too...
