ROAD TO FROKEN NORGE (Miss Norway World & Universe) 2010

The website of Froken Norge is now closed for new applications, and they have announced that the final will be in June (no fix date set yet).
About 75% of the girls are under 170cm...and most of them are under 20 years of age. After the web-problems they had earlier, very few girls have applied this year. The org. has not announced how they will choose the finalists.
Here are some of the few girls who have caught my attention:
Maria Ben-Shams:
She is 170cm and originally from Iran.
Tine Andrea Lauvli Storløs:
She is 170cm and wants to become a policewoman
Inger Hanne Vikshåland:
She is 173cm and is still in school
Marianne Lindbeck:
She is 176cm and wants to become an actress

June 26th!!
8 girls will be in the final, and they will be chosen from their website and by castings.
There will be crowned 2 girls. 1 for MU and 1 for MW!

The Former Frøken Norge Universe 2008, Mariann Birkedal is vying for Frøken Norge World 2010.
When she won Frøken Norge Universe 2008, with Kathrine Sorland .
Since Mariann was the 1st RU of Frøken Norge 2008. Later she was crowned as Frøken Norge Universe 2008 and represent Norway in Miss Universe 2008 pageant.
So 23-year-old Mariann is just vying for the title of Frøken Norge World 2010. Let's see.

This year everything is possible in Norway. It has been a disaster, and I feel sorry for all the young girls creating profiles on the Froken Norge website.
All of the finalists are taken from "castings", but in fact they have been invited to participate.

This is very confusing but at the same time is very good, cause Mariann is stunning, my bet for Miss Norway World.

The guy in front of the girls is Daniel Hamnes. He is the son of the director of Froken Norge (Geir Hamnes).
Next year he will take over after his father. He also participated in this year's Norwegian "Paradise Island".
