Just before her departure for South Africa Angela Kalaitzi gave her last Interview on Espresso newspaper talking about everything and just minutes ago she was on an Opra alike show saying the same things.

Angela:Have u seen any Greek girls doing good in the Big 2 pageants lately? im reffering to Universe and World.....Some of the Girls do well but in minor Pageants.Doukissa Nomikou,nothing.......Valia kakouti....nothing.......Dionisia...nothing.......but ill do anything that is in my power.
U know that after i was crowned i havent worked at all....no covers not many shows. And it aint all my fault.I went in the right places and agencies........ but i guess some people were not that willing to help. I wasnt promoted with the title as i should have been. Even the National director didnt help me that much as i would have expected. The one girl that plays everywhere is Ria....not Dionisia,not me. and u know something......i realised a title aint enough at all.The issue is how much the people around u believe u and are willing to work on you. After Satr Hellas i did it all myself.....no help. I came down from Thessaloniki to Athens to work and the dorrs were closed. Ihope step by step it will all be fixed. Some people have to realize that i wasnt trained to be a model........im a gymnastics instuctor.....i cant manager myself.

Yes its the worst atmosphere Veronica going on......some of the girls are complaining they havent been helped at all and that the choices made by the director are not the best to promote them. The only girl that got attention was Ria and Betty.....no comment for the others on the national page. The director went to Philippines for Ria and photographed with her on her departure. nothing for the others, Do u remember Dionisias wordrobe? the worst ever.......and a girl that didnt win any title Betty went with one of the best designers gowns on Miss globe Queen. After Bettys third place the national page wrote " Betty was finally recognized". whats that? arent they ashamed to put something like that on the official page? they are bashing their own girls,the winners, by promoting those who didnt win a title.

Rumor has it that Angelas gown will be the one doukissa wore on star hellas this year.

Just like Magalys Febles when was suporting Ingrid Riviera many times than Marianne Cruz, and finally the Karma was a bich with Both..¡¡¡

What a horror! This explains alot in terms of the last few years-I always kept wondering what the heck is going on with Greece seeing that the beauty is there-why can't they place. This is really a sad situation to be in as a representative of you country. Are new franchise holders a possibility? This reminds me of MT&Ts of the 1990 (when I started following pageant) and even earlier MT&Ts-the organization along with the pageant winners had to hold fundraisers, go knocking on doors and basically go begging for money to support the ladies. They would borrow clothes for the competition from friends and other MT&T delegates. There was just no interest in supporting a MT&T from the general public but the big difference was the MT&T franchise holders and Star Hellas is that the MT&T committee totally worked their butts off to support our reps. because they loved what they were doing and they poured everything they had into training our girls to the best of their ability. I can't even imagine how Miss Greece World must be feeling when she did not even get support from the franchise holder. What a sad story!

Very sad indeed. No wonder she is so pesimistic. Why do they even bother sending the girls if they are not supporting them properly or giving them the correct training. They need to take a introvertive look at themselves and try to become more organise and give the girls the right oppertunities to blossom.

Even if the franchise holder dont know how to do the work properly. But dont want to give up the franchise, why not just hire people who can work with them to make sure the girls are properly trained and prepared

This is easier said than done. After hearing her story, really-is the franchise holder a miser? I would not put it past him. He does not even have a basic love of his country to market it to the best of his ability through this avenue. Do you really think he is going to hire people to tell him what he is doing wrong and how to improve-after all he is accustomed to getting his way.

You may be right. He might just be a selfish person. Thats really sad though, because its not just him involved. Its the image of his delegates and the country to some extent

because honestly i dont believe his main concern is if someone will do good outside Greece. He makes the pageant....he has the girls under contract for a year and he sees the feedback he gets from fashion world. Star Hellas and modelling are 100% connected unfortunately,which means if the media go nuts on Ria for example he will focus there as he is gonna make more money promoting her. If the feedback for Dionisia and Angela is mediocre noone will care enough. The comparison of the wordrobe the girls took in the International Pageants says it all. Dions clothing was "cheap" and low quality...Angela will probably wear something recycled from doukissa.....meanwhile the girls that "sell"(covers,semi nude photos for magazines) take the best designers although they got secondary titles and others no titles at all. It all comes down to how much each girl benefits the economic department of the organizer. In other words what they give..they get.....

But if thats his mentality. I feel sorry for these girls. We all know that if a girl is marketed in the right way and gets the proper training and grooming she can be a good success. But, this franchise holder dont invest anything in the gilrs to ensure that they are noticed or recognise. How sad indeed!
