Time has come! Today,25 August,233 girls from the whole country (plus the 21 Regional Finalists) will arrive to Montecatini Terme to fight to get the remaining spots of final 60 line up of candidates vying for this year's title. Girls will be judged for the next 3 days by a selected jury. One of the strongest batch (full of returns) in years is ready for the battle.

Wishing all the best to the girls. Remember,Miss Italia is a LIFETIME opportunity.

Due to many nude photos circulations on the web,and as Miss Italia's rules prohibt delegates who compete to have previously shot naked photos or with improper poses,Raffaella Modugno,Miss Curve d'Italia Elena Mirò Lazio,has been just disqualified from the competition.

The same happened with Alice Bellotto,Miss Wella Professionals Veneto,disqualified before the Prefinals officially took place in Montecatini.

No,any girl will take over,it's way too late! So bad,she was one of the contenders for the crown.

They will be revealed after midnight! I just know some of them: Giulia Gambin (She competed at Miss Mondo Italia 2010,lovely!),Vanessa Zanardo (Miss Universe Italy 2011's contestant),Claudia Marcassa and Jennifer Milan,all from Veneto. Any delegate from Friuli Venezia Giulia and Umbria,except of the Regional Winners,advanced to the National Finals! More news ASAP. From Toscana Virginia Cei,Chiara Caporalini,Susanna Cicali (Host city's delegate) and Irene Cioni.

A nice edition,a bit disappointing though. Many gorgeous girls didn't advance,but well,this happens every year.
