Newspapers in Curaçao are reporting that Evalina van Putten (18, 1.77m, Willemstad) is the new Miss Universe Curaçao 2011. She replaces Monifa Jansen who reportedly is underage and cannot take part in the international pageant.

This is the second situation involving the replacement of their winner since the Curaçao Beauty Organization began to organize the pageant on behalf of the Curaçao Tourism Board in 2009. Two of the three winners the Curaçao Beauty Organization have crowned were replaced for various reasons.

Ashanta Macauly won the crown in 2009 and was replaced with the first runner-up Angenie Simon. Safira de Wit did not crown Monifa Jansen last April, no reasons were given. Now Monifa Jansen is replaced with Evalina van Putten because the former do not meet the age requirements stipulated by the Miss Universe Organization.

Evalina is not 1.77m she is 1.81 . that's 1. Idea

2.Safira was not @ the final night because she is in Holland study Medicine.... it was her answer in the intervieuw. Exclamation

3Ashanta didn't go to Miss Universe for health problems.
