I've been wondering for a couple of years now, doesn't Canada have any native people? I mean, always on beauty pageants they send Latinas or Asian candidates. WHY????????????

I noticed it too. Latinas, Asian or European like in 2006 when they sent Malgosia Majewska to MW. She's a Pole. Natalie Glebova isn't Canadian as well. She was born is Russia.
Thay also like to send for MW girls which previously represented Canada in ME. Last year winner - Denise, participated in ME '08, Riza in ME '06

Because Canada - a country of immigrants...
True, but still Canada is one of the most cultural countries. Pageants are not popular in Canada whatsoever, so we often see immigrants of first or other generation taking part in these pageants. Pageants are simply not popular here...there is no prestige associated to it like Miss Venezuela or Miss France, they don't get a lot of coverage nor sponsorship by huge companies either. They do what they can with what they have
