Luz Marina Zuluaga (born October 31, 1938) is a Colombian beauty pageant winner and Miss Universe 1958. She is the only Colombian in history to hold the Miss Universe title.

As we all know, Luz Marina is the only Miss Universe from Colombia and they were many wasted Colombian's girls thru these years that deserved the title.
Did you guys know that when Luz Marina won the title, Colombia were so happy that the goverment made postal stamps with her face and best of all, and also since 1958 when she won the title, the goverment decided that Luz Marina is TAX-EXEMPT FOR LIFE as a gift for her.
Till today she lives in Colombia and still she doesn't has to pay a single penny for taxes. Lucky lady!!

Since she won in 1958 the colombian goverment declared her "tax exempt for life".

Sadly and suddenly this morning the 1st colombian Miss Universe 1958 Luz Marina Zuluaga, passed away in her apartment in the city of Manizales, Colombia.
She fainted when she was taking a bath, apparently it was a heart attack, Luz was 77.
My deepest sympathy to Colombia!!!!

I was not expecting this, Luz Marina was not only our first Miss Universe, but the first candidate from Colombia that has ever competed at Miss Universe.
She was a true classic, elegant beauty and will always hold a special place in my heart.
I'm happy she lived to see at least one other Colombian Miss Universe crowned though
