Miss Universe 2011 new format?

Im so busy with my life now thats why i cant focus in the pageant world too much..i just learned today that this year Miss Universe semis was increase to 16 spot!!! The format of miss Earth before and the latest Miss USA? meaning only top 4 finalist? isnt it boring?...anyway good day to all Very Happy

I like the top 16 idea! I wonder will the 16th girl be chosen by the public?
I don't like the top 4, i prefer top 5 much more!

New format is like a mix of ME and MW. Top 16-top 8-top 4 cuts are so ME-ish but regions/continents groups and girl chosen by "people's choice" are so MW-ish. I don't like it all!

so it means there will be by group... in Asia group they will select a semis..not bad so that every year Asia is in the semis....but i still love the old format

I HATE the new format that was used for Miss USA. The music was boring, too much going on at once which was a distraction from the girls. The "color commentary" was awful as well. Hopefully they will tweak the format and Miss Universe will be fun to watch.

I just hope that the new format for Miss Universe don't include the Internet votes for select one finalist for the TOP 16... just will be an fight for Philippines, Vietnam, Puerto Rico and Thailand for that spot

I've read that MU will be different than Miss USA, so I hope it means that there won't be 16/8/4 cuts Smile
