September 8, 2011. Sanda Mezecka has been selected as Latvia's representative to the 11th Miss Earth pageant which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on nOvember to December 3. Sanda was a finalist in Mis Latvija 2011 and has joined an international beauty competition when she was 17.

What environmental project will you create to promote the protection of Mother Earth and why?
To promote the idea, I would start with the common environment for myself, i.e. office environment. The project would be called "Help Protect Forests" and would be aimed towards raising awareness of the companies in my country on the issues which may cause simple office job. Tones of paper being printed at work all over the world, more than half of the printed material is binned. With this project I would aim to regain an understanding of the importance of respecting the forest.
