Linda Petursdottir became the Miss World 1988 and was crowned with the title of Miss World 1988 representing Iceland. That was the 38th Miss World Pageant held on 17th November, 1988 at the Royal Albert Hall, London, UK.

Yeon-hee Choi, the Queen of Asia representing Korea was the runner up and Kirsty Roper from the United Kingdom was the third.

With exceptional musical performances of Koreana, Linda Petursdottir was hosted by Alexandra Bastedo and Peter Marshall. In honor of Linda, Koreana sang Hand In Hand in the Seoul Olympics and Donny Osmond who was the 70’s American pop sensation was also there.

Linda, a former was born 27th December, 1969. She has stood as a business woman running Badhusid, “The Bath House, health spa for ladies only. She has a daughter Isabella whose father’s name is still unrevealed.
