It's amazing to find that there are four official candidates in the upcoming Miss World 2011 pageant with Filipino ancestry and they are the representatives from Canada, Denmark, Guam and of course including the Philippines.

MISS WORLD CANADA 2011
Canada's official delegate is Riza Santos, a Canadian born TV personality with Filipino, Spanish and Chinese ancestry. She is well loved and became known in the Philippines as she bagged the 2nd place spot in the 2007 Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition aired in ABS-CBN Channel 2. The 25-year old beauty queen was also a former Miss Earth Canada winner in 2006 and now she will represent again her country in the Miss World 2011 pageant.

MISS WORLD DENMARK 2011
Denmark's representative is the 20-year old Maya Celeste Padillo Olesen whose mother is a Filipina while his father is of Danish origin. She won the crown last August 20 at First Kong Frederik Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark.

MISS WORLD GUAM 2011
Siera Robertson won the title Miss World Guam 2011 last September 2 after 15 years of not having any representative in the pageant. The 21-year old Yona, Guam beauty queen also competed in the Miss Universe 2008 pageant.

MISS WORLD PHILIPPINES 2011
Gwendoline Ruais is of French and Filipino blood who was born in Makati City but then moved to Thailand when she was 2 years old. She then moved to France when she was only 5 but then back in the Philippines at the age of 11 and from then on she stayed with her family in the country. Gwendoline Ruais was crowned Miss World Philippines 2011 last September 18.

The Miss World 2011 will be held in Earls Place Two in England on November 6, 2011 and 124 delegates from all over the world are expected to compete this year.
