Alicia Sylvera (MISS NATIONALE/France 2012)

The Miss Nationale 2012 pageant was held on Sunday at Pau Brasil in Paris. After an incredible evening where 40 contestants from all over France parade in evening gowns and swimsuits, it was Alicia Sylvera who took home the title. She will now represent her country in Miss Earth 2012 pageant to be held in Vietnam.

This pageant is different from Geneviève de Fontenay's Miss National pageant which is now under a different name for legal purpose, 'Miss Prestige National'.

Alicia is the third "Miss France" to be crowned. The first one is Delphine Wespiser - Miss France 2012 who will compete in Miss Universe. The second is Christelle Roca - Miss Prestige National 2012 who will compete in Miss International.

Her official title is Miss Nationale and will compete in Miss Earth according to the news.

Its the same case in several countries. Examples are:

Nicaragua - her national title is Nuestra Belleza Nicaragua not Miss Earth Nicaragua.
Russia - her national title is Krassa Rossi (Russian Beauty or Beauty of Russia when translates into English) not Miss Earth Russia
Thailand - her national title is Miss Thailand Universe 1st Deputy when translate into English not Miss Earth Thailand.
Slovakia - her national title is 1st Vice Miss Slovak Republic Universe not Miss Earth Slovak Republic.
Nepal - her national title is 1st Runner Up Miss Nepal not Miss Earth Nepal

Some pageant fans when posting on various pageant boards simply change their title to easily identify or indicate which pageant they are competing.

In fact you have Miss France (of the miss france organisation) who send contestants to Miss Universe and Miss world and miss europe when this pageant is held.

You had miss National (of Geneviève de fontenay) who elected Barbara Morel last year but change the name for Miss Prestige national because the miss france organisation forbide her to have a pageant so it's the regionals delegates who organize it.

and you have this girl who is call Miss National who go to miss earth; Her national Director is absolutly not logical. last year he called his pageant Miss France and says that it was her girl the real miss france. but she was not because the real miss france pegant it the pageant whom send contestant at Miss Universe and Miss world and he change the name of this pageant for Miss National saying that it's her girls the real miss national.

No . it's just the name of the pageant . it change the name. last year it was Miss France but now not.
