Josephine Brown Estrada
Josephine Estrada Brown held several national beauty titles before being chosen as the Philippine representative to the 1962 Miss Universe Beauty Contest in Long Beach, California. She was Miss Luzon (first runner-up) to Edita Vital in 1960 and was Miss Aviation of 1961. After the Miss Universe contest, Josephine continued her movie career and was chosen to be the official Ambassadress of Goodwill in 1965 to the Berlin Film Festival and the lone representative to the David de Donatello Film Festival. The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards, also known as FAMAS, awarded her the Ciriaco Santiago Memorial Award in 1966 for her excellent contribution to the Philippine movie industry's recognition internationally.
