i dont know for slovakia and what she had to do more......all i know is that Ria Antoniou(as said in the other message boards) didnt have an interprator on her interview and that lead to a huge mess as she couldnt answer the core of the questions with her above average english. I really think this happened on purpose and our national director is furious as something like this has never happened before. Any pageant that respects itsself has an interprator. Tha chances we have , sending a contestant there again is from now and own minimum. Ive already mailed the director for some more info, What Martina said about ria crying after top 16 and leaving the theatre is true.

Miss Mexico´s gown was also terrible and she finished as a 2nd RU Rolling Eyes

i do not expect any success from miss world...my onle one hope was from miss earth....although i like edita a lot, i do not believe in any success there...

well, it is absouletly true, that josef klir´s gown are horrified...totally!!!!!!! and it could have some play in it, but do not suppose that this would be the reason why she didn´t enter TOP 16....

Sorry my friend... I really don´t know what to say to cheer you......just know one thing, this happens in every single pageant even in our national pageants..... almost all the time we don´t know that the judges were thinking in that moment or what they were looking for.... the thing is to keep going and we will going to have a lot of pageats to look forward... the best thing is to enjoy them and not trying to understand the mind of the judges or the organizers because we will never going to know.

yes, i see your point...but you know...sometimes i just cannot understant what the judges want...what are they looking for?? is all slovakia contestnat invisible?? there were no success at international pageant for slovakia for last two years (except for Miss Globe International one month ago when our contestant placed TOP15)....i am just sad...

Slovakia was place 1º RU on Miss Europe & Junior 2008 & Two Slovakians was placed top 15 on Elite Model International 2008 few weeks in Sanya, China.

well, that´s true, but i meant the main international pageants....because especially this year we have had a strong contestants from slovakia...

Well the reazon why Slovakia didint Stand out in international pageants its due that the girls who going for international competitions isnt prepared verry well or if are too preparared, are ruin fer chanses by Arwfull evening gowns, so that its the reazons.

Slovakia need good trainers of pageants beauty for international comp. & good deseiners for stop the non placing of ur beutifull delegtes.

Well, what Sabi is saying is completely true..... just remember that we only saw pictures or videos of the girls and a lot of times I said that is completely different to see them live..... I was in a lot of events in Miss Universe and I can assure you that there were amazingly beautiful girls but in the right moment they fall, they were not prepared enough in catwalk, or they´re week or with bad dresses or they just looked bored in the stage.... there are a lot of factors that we can´t see just in a picture or a video. The best example is Miss Greece 2007 and I talked about her a lot of times.... I saw her in a lot of events and pictures and she was a goddes.... one of the most beautiful girls I ever saw... but in the semifinal was totally a dissappointment.... she had the worst catwalk of the pageant.... so as you see this pageants is not only about the beauty but a lot of factors too.

our national directors do not care enough about our girls...that´s true!!!!! (unfortunately)
and delegates who enter miss world or miss international have quite nice gowns that come from slovak fashion designers lydia eckhardt or fero miklosko....but miss slovak republic universe or miss earth delegates wear gowns from czech jose´f klir and these gowns i can not stand...
and you know if someone has a close relationship to a fashion designer, then it´s simply that these girls will have his gowns....it´s a long story...

well guys,

At first, i didnt want to comment the happening at the Miss Earth 2008. The whole day I was browsing the internet, waiting for the start of the show and then suddenly i just saw the top 16 resuluts somewhere. after its confirmation, all my excitement fell Sad

no martina, no slovak republic Sad

You probably dont even know that i was in contact with martina the whole month, from her arrival to the Philippines. Every single day I got messages from her, she was sad, depressed and home-sick the first days. I was so nervous, because I knew that mental balance is so important for a good representation. So every single day I was sending martina a lot of messages full of support, all the news, i had been telling her about you guys, about the forum, about watching her at every event. Martina was still uncomfortable with the hotel (not very clean) and with the food (many girls had stomach problems), she was complaining about the level of the pageant organisation, she said: "nobody cares about us, its a bit degrading for us as the international ambassadors to present bricks in the brick factory and to advertise cheap products in the mall." miss malta wricked her anckle by the way.
when miss mexico won the best body award, all the girls were laughing in the backstage asking themselves how is this possible. but as martina said miss mexico had a powerful man behind her so her placement was sure weeks prior to the show. ria was her friend and martina said she was a great girl,had very friendly personality and allured much sexiness.

As I said my girl Martina felt sad, but I had put so much effort to send her the positive energy and it worked! martina became happier and more relaxed, she started to believe in herself after seeing all our prediction. we were in contact every single day, i was sending her the pictures, the links, the threads, she is the reader of our forum as well! i spent very much time supporting her and I thought to myself this is it! this year we are gonna make it! its our year, martina is strong now and we can achieve the significant result Smile

We were communicating during the final show too, she sent me a sms right after failing to make the top 16 cut. Sad

she wrote: I apologise for failing! i dont understand how hana (czech rep) can be there without the knowledge of english. ria left the backstage crying and went to the hotel.philippines is gonna win. sorry once again.

A REALLY APOLOGIZE TO ALL, BUT WHEN SOME DELEGATE DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, HOW CAN SHE THEN PASS THE INTERVIEWS WITH JUDGES??
HOW CAN SOMEONE JOIN THE TOP 16 OR MORE, HM??

I WAS ALWAYS SAD WHEN SOME OF DELEGATE FROM SLOVAKIA DID NOT ENETR THE TOP 10, 15, OR 16 LIKE IN MISS EARTH, BUT I RECOVERED SOON....

BUT THE REASON WHY I HAVE BEEN POSTING MY FEELINGS AFTER THE MISS EARTH FINAL THIS YEAR IS THAT I WAS INFORMATED ABOUT MARTINA´S STAY AS WELL AND I KNEW SHE WERE ABLE TO BE AMONG THE BEST FOR THIS YEAR.

AND I KNOW HER ENGLISH IS EXCELLENT....

MAYBE JUDGES WERE DECIDING ACCORDING OTHER RULES....MAYBE SOME MEMBERS OF THIS YEAR´S JURY HAVE VISITED THIS YEAR PRAGUE AND ENJOYED THEIR STAY THERE, SO THEY DECIDED CZECH TO GO TO THE SEMIFINAL (DOES NOT MATTER SHE DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH AND SHE IS NOT TOP 16 MATERIAL AT ALL)

BUT DOES NOT MATTER....ANOTHER GRANDFINAL WITHOUT SLOVAKIA....LET´S HOPE ANOTHER YEAR WILL BE THAT YEAR....AND IF NOT THAT YEAR, THEN THE NEXT...AND IF NOT THAT YEAR, THAN THE NEXT....AND IF NOT....

maybe she does, but now i understand her position too - she lost all the motivation - doesnt matter how prepared the girls it the politics is always stronger... but i also realize that our girls need much more training - TRAINING is everything! (almost Very Happy

Well late or early ur national director will know the WHY the not sucses. if not ur time is coming.. Wink

Osmel also was in crisis in the middle of this 2000 epoque by Ana Karina Añez & Jitczad Viña dissasters election, so he finally was learn that the formation isnt all.The pasktage & the psicologic help ALSO is verry important.

The Slovack delegates must enjoy the experience on competing on international pageant even is are soo tired or not, Dayana won the Miss Universe, pressily because she was enjoy the experience, cause u will comp. for 1 and last time ur u life.
