Hey everyone... I am having an amazing time in Delhi exploring the fashion capital through the Delhi Couture Week. I must say the first day started with a bang with JJ Valaya's show. He is great at his work and showcased some beautiful lehangas, suits, Indian wears. It was all a royal wedding concept and the ambiance was truly royal! I was feeling privileged to sit in front row with some of the big designers like Rohit Bal and Rohit Gandhi to name a few.
Then there was an after party where we were introduced to the big names in fashion industry. We enjoyed a lot and the entire credit goes to Mr. Marc Robinson for all this!
I will keep you posted about new happenings... till then take care and God bless you all.

Hey Everyone! Yesterday was again a busy day with a press conference in the morning, followed by an annual day function celebration of Hotel Grand Delhi! The ceremony was full of energy and enthusiasm for the hotel staff who only get one day in the entire year to celebrate together!
I missed the Mumbai Monsoon badly as it was not raining in Delhi at all. I wanted to go for shopping but couldn't go since had no time and had a flight to catch at 4.30pm.
The moment I landed in Mumbai, It was amazing to see the city engulfed by the magic and charm of Janmashtami, with crowds thronging various locations across the city to take part in 'Dahi Handi' competition. It was such a beautiful sight to see...everyone chanting 'Govinda Aala Re' - to mark the birth of Lord Krishna.
So, that's all for the day!
Take care and enjoy your day. God bless...

Good Morning! Yesterday was my day - jam packed with back to back meetings, shopping and enjoying Mumbai traffic!
Tomorrow I am going to a village, 5hrs away from Mumbai where we will provide the villagers with solar light system, as there is no electricity there! I am working with project Chirag and their mission is to light up all the villages in India! I am very excited because this will be our 100th village! I was more excited to buy gumboots and all for this trip... sounds cool no?
All set for tomorrow's activity! I have to leave early morning by 6o clock. I will keep you guys updated on the same.

Re: Prachi Mishra (India 2012)
13th August, 2012
As I mentioned yesterday, I was all set for my activity of project Chirag! We started early morning from Mumbai for Chinchpad village which is around 3 hours away from here. I was surprised to see that a village just 3 hrs away from Mumbai and on National Highway is deprived of basic facilities like electricity!
We met the villagers and tried to strike a conversation which was a mixture of Hindi and Marathi (some new lingo I invented!). The people there were very sweet and I received a warm welcome. It was tough to walk inside the village as it was a muddy path and almost next to impossible to walk there! But it was fun as all of us were enjoying that experience!
I went inside their houses and realized how difficult life without electricity can be. It was tough for them to do their basic household work. The kind of money they have to spend on kerosene lamps at nighttime was unbelievable. It is sad to know that people are living like this in 21st century!
There is so much and more to share about my experience in the village that one day is not enough. So stay tuned and I shall tell you a lot more about this soon.
Cheers!
God Bless

Continuing about my visit to Chinchpad village, just 3 hours from Mumbai yet deprived of basic facilities like electricity - it was a very emotional experience for me.
We installed solar panels in 35 houses from which I did 4 installations! It was an amazing and heart-touching experience to see the spark in the eyes of old ladies of the village when they saw solar tube-lights in their houses for the first time in there lives. Children were so excited to see the same... it was a miracle for them! It was great to see them studying at night under the tube-light which they were not able to do earlier.
Hats off to all the volunteers of project Chirag who have covered 100 villages in 2 years! Their project is an example of how much difference a small initiative can make in the society! I was honored and happy to be a part of this change!
I sincerely request you all to be a part of such change and make a difference in the society!
Cheers!
God Bless

Yesterday was a great day; we had our photo shoot with Jeetu savlani! We had a great time shooting with him and the other reason that made me happy was the presence of Amit Hansraj, our stylist. We worked together after quite a long time. We earlier worked during our Miss India pageant and that time we all were like a big family.
After a long day of shooting we went out for dinner and had a good time together.
I checked Bombay times today and I was elated to see my picture with all the other members of project Chirag! It's a nice message for everybody on the Independence Day!
Happy Independence Day to everyone! Jai Hind Jai Bharat!
God bless

As always, this Independence day too I enjoyed watching the flag hoisting at India gate on Doordarshan! Since childhood, we are following this practice like a religion! I really enjoy watching school kids performing on various patriotic songs. I also loved the act of releasing balloons in the air and all the other amazing stunts performed by our army Jawans! My salute to all the soldiers who are working on the borders for our safety and hats off to the families who sacrifice their family happiness to ensure our happiness!
Feel proud to be an Indian and you know what? It's an amazing feeling to represent your country on an international platform. I always wanted to do that and feel blessed enough to get this opportunity!
Sharing a picture of me dressed in a Ritu Kumar!

Yesterday I was very excited as I had my first interview or you can say I had my first celebrity interview at the Zoom studio! It was a great experience as this is what I have always wanted to do! It's interesting to be interviewed because it allows me to tell people something about myself and my journey so far.
Just to remind my fans that I have enjoyed answering all your queries and look forward to more suggestions and questions if you have any. So keep writing and stay stylish!

19th August, 2012
Yesterday Rochelle and I attended Mumbai's famous college festival Malhar at Xavier's.
It was a whole new experience of attending a college fest again after a long time! We selected Apeksha there as our finalist for the regional round of Miss India 2013.
We came back to the guest house by 3 and since then Rochelle was glued to TV eagerly waiting for the Miss World 2012 show to get started. We were so excited to see Vanya on the Miss World stage. We were hooting and dancing on all the subtitles. I wish I was there in China.
We were so sure that Vanya will win but that's ok, it's all about destiny. By making it to the Top 7 our girl Vanya has made us proud and happy. All set to welcome our winner!
I have already started to feel the pressure and will try my best to get the crown and make everyone proud like Vanya.
Cheers!

Sunday was fun as I had no early morning gym session! Did a bit of cheating with my diet and ate something sweet! So I love Sundays! Another reason why I'm super excited today is because Vanya's coming home. I missed her a lot and now as she's coming home with two titles so it's a proud moment for all of us! I'm dying to meet her and can't wait for her to share her experiences with us. I want to go out with her and offer her the best of dishes that she missed there!

Yesterday was my Femina cover shoot so was super excited and eagerly waiting to see myself there! Having a dress trial for the shoot is a long process as it follows a number of changes followed by selecting the best look! It's tiring but given an option, I can do it for the rest of my life!
I also went shopping recently and shopped plenty! This is the only pleasure we can enjoy without any restrictions!
That's all for now. Will update my fans about my sexy shoot tomorrow!

Went to the gym very early in the morning today post which I had to judge NM College's Umang fest. We had to select our Miss India contestant for the regional pageants. I had an amazing time there as the crowd was crazy! There were so many talented groups of guys who were really awesome and very entertaining.
Enjoyed the show very much and enjoyed being part of a grand college festival after a long time.
We also got two beautiful girls for our Miss India regional round. Sharing a picture of Rochelle and me posing for Bombay Times.
