I personally thought she should have won Miss Earth 2008. She looked fantastic onstage.

Well she has already left. Hope the financial issues are resolved. Gabby needs to place if PE&A expect to get their money back.

I think what happened was that they used credit etc to pay for her training, wardrobe, entrance fees, flight, etc. If she places then the government will have no choice but to reimburse PE&A for the expenses as it would look really bad on the Ministry from a personal relations perspective. Even though the pageant company is in debt at present, no one in T&T is really going to notice a MT&T who does not place internationally;if she does, then this funds issues becomes more of a responsibility for the government considering they promised support.

As I have said before, Trinibagonians have great respect for international pageant winners but they really don't care about local representatives unless they place or win. In fact, the culture is to criticize pageants and MT&Ts. Only when we win, like with Wendy in 1998, everyone will line the streets to see the winner and act interested. The minute her reign ends so does the interest.

Well I guess she will only be eligible for MU2010 because MUorg would not accept a reigning ME 1st RU competing at their pageant and she is already 25 years old.
