1952-Armi Kuusela( Finland)

Tidbits:
On February 22, 1953 Armi took a journey round the world, during which time she met a Filipino businessman, Virgilio Hilario. Less than a year later after being crowned, on 4 May 1953 Armi chose to give up her Miss Universe crown before her year was complete to marry Hilario. They were married in Tokyo, but then lived in the Philippines where they had a family of five children.

Miss World

1951- Kiki Haakanson(Sweden)

Tidbits:
The first Miss World, Sweden's Kiki Haakonson, was the first and last winner to be actually crowned in a two-piece swimsuit.The following year, another Swedish stunner won Miss World.


Miss International

1960- Stella Marquez Sawadzky (Colombia)

Miss Marquez later married a Filipino businessman, Jorge Araneta, and is now the national director of Bb. Pilipinas which sends its three major winners to Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International.

Miss Earth

2001- Catharina Svensson (Denmark)

Miss Svenssson was the first Danish beauty to win a grandslam pageant on its first year as well.

I notice two things:

A. European stunners ruled the pageant in the 50's.
B. Two 'firsts' Misses married Filipino millionaires.

yeah europe used to dominate it all(regarding the top placements too) till the 80s if u ask me.As for the philippino millionaires......bring me one too.....i have no crown but i can easily be the new....GODESS OF BEAUTY......
