Asia is the world's largest and most populous continent. It covers 8.6% of the Earth's total surface area (or 29.4% of its land area) and, with over 4 billion people, it contains more than 60% of the world's current human population. Chiefly in the eastern and northern hemispheres, Asia is traditionally defined as part of the landmass of Eurasia—with the western portion of the latter occupied by Europe—lying east of the Suez Canal, east of the Ural Mountains, and south of the Caucasus Mountains and the Caspian and Black Seas. It is bounded on the east by the Pacific Ocean, on the south by the Indian Ocean, and on the north by the Arctic Ocean. Given its size and diversity, Asia—a toponym dating back to classical antiquity—is more a cultural concept incorporating a number of regions and peoples than a homogeneous physical entity.

Asian or Asiatic people (the Asian Continental Ancestry Group) is a demonym for people from Asia. However, the use of the term varies by country and person, often referring to people from a particular region or subregion of Asia. Though it may be based on residence, it is also often considered a "racial group"or an ethnic group.

I would like to dedicate this thread to Asian beauty queens who have triumphed in their respective pageants.Some may have not agreed (including me in some point)in their winnings but let us be reminded that each one of them is/was just a girl dreaming to be a beauty queen and they worked really hard to achieve that. They have proven that Asia has a lot to offer in the world of pageantry. They are all truly beautiful inside out, truly ASIA.

Asia has yet to conquer Miss Earth, who knows maybe this year? I am hopeful that an Asian lady will shine at Miss Earth this year and ultimately(praying) that she'd be the first Asian Miss Earth.

I had only enlisted the 'major' pageant winners, likewise I had not included other countries which have winners like Lebanon, Israel and Australia as I'm not sure whether they are part of this region. Forgive my ignorance on Geography.

From the winners' list, here's my humble observation.

With two crowns each, India, Thailand, Japan, and The Philippines are on the running to be Asia's MISS UNIVERSE powerhouse. ( Excluding the runner up winners.)

MISS WORLD is India's territory.

MISS INTERNATIONAL is The Philippines' territory.

Tidus, I shall try to find pictures and information about her today okay, but if I cnt find, I'll let you do the job...that okay?
I had a hard time looking for her pictures the other day omg.
