Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012 Search is On

Mutya ng Pilipinas, one of the pioneers and oldest Beauty Pageants in the land announced this year’s beauty search. Aspiring applicants for Visayas and Mindanao are encouraged to join the following regional screening schedule; Bacolod City on June 12 and 13, 2012 (Tuesday and Wednesday) from 1 to 6 pm at the Grand Regal Hotel. For Cebu, June 16 and 17, (Saturday and Sunday) from 1 to 5 pm at The Orchard Cebu Hotel, Mandaue City. Iloilo City, June 25, 2012 (Monday) 1 to 7pm at the Sheridan Boutique Hotel in Oton

Mindanao Screenings are set on June 23, Saturday 1 to 5pm at N Hotel Kauswagan in Cagayan de Oro City and June 24, Sunday in Davao City. Screening schedule for Luzon and Metro Manila applicants will be announced soon. Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012 Pre-Pageant Activities will be held at The Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort & Spa in Mactan Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu and Grand Coronation Night will be held in Manila this August.

30 gorgeous young ladies competing for the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012 International Titles - Miss Asia Pacific International, Miss Tourism International, Tourism Queen of the Year and Miss Intercontinental - were prsented to the media last Wednesday, July 18 at the Midas Hotel and Casino in Pasay City. Coronation night is on August 12, 7 pm at the UP Theater, in Diliman Quezon City and to be telecast on GMA Channel 7.

Three special awards were given during the Press Presentation. Candidate #16 Kaylee Calaguas representing West Coast USA bagged the Lito Sy Photography and Ms. Sheridan Resorts awards while Mutya Johanna datul from Isabela was proclaimed Press Choice. The candidates will be flown to Mactan, Cebu City on July 19 for the Photo Contest and Swimsuit Competition which will be held at the Imperial Waterpark Resort and Spa.

Now on it's 44th year, the Mutya ng Pilipinas Beauty Pageant not only aims to discover world class beauty but more so to promote "Beauty Tourism" worldwide.
