10 of the 12 official candidates for Mrs. Universe Philippines 2012 were presented to the members of the media this morning, July 20 at the Bulwagang Amoranto of Quezon City Hall. Stunning in their identical white casual dresses, the delegates impressed with their beauty while presenting their advocacy for the beauty contest.
Chairman of the organizing committee Miss Hemilyn Escudero (National Director for the Philippines) expressed confidence that the first pageant will crown a true beauty thus making the search a success. "I have high hopes that we can pull it through not only because of the turn out of applicants who submitted their resumes but also because of the support were getting from our sponsors and the media mileage from different networks, publications and websites," Escudero said.
The winner of the pageant will represent the country to the Mrs. Universe Pageant in Rostov, Russia on August 13, 2012. Mrs. Universe is a yearly competition that focuses not only in physical beauty but highlights the most honorable married women from different countries with the motto "Against violence" which in different years covers different causes. 2010 was devoted to "Women of the world against violence and human trafficking".
The coronation day is on July 25, 2012, 2pm at the AFP Theater in Camp Aguinaldo. Other members of organizing committe are as follows: Gareth Blanco -VP for Operations, Onin mas- VP for External Affairs, Mark Charles Salecina-VP for Communications, Judith Arlyn Vergara and Connie Crisosotomo del Rosario-Board members.
Mrs. Universe Philippines 2012 is presented by Calayan Surgicentre, Lungsod Ng Quezon, BODATO Burgers, Ever Bilena, Totale Image Asia, The Generics Pharmacy, Tony Galvez, Philippine national Police, Anthony Co Photography, Samartin Photography, University of perpetual Help System Dalta, Nail Station Nails and Spa and Blue Gardens. Here are the official candidates: Mrs. Jinky Baldoza, Mrs. Ma. Theresa De Geron, Mrs. Jernalie Villarubia, Mrs. Rosielyn E., Mrs. Clarence Baliling, Mrs. Rizalie Martinez, Mrs. Diana May Baculi, Mrs. Lailani Llanto, Mrs. Quinnie Lyn Martinez, Mrs. Berverly Delgado, Mrs. Joy Castillo Pasides.
Mrs. Universe is not affiliated with Trump's and NBC's Miss. Universe Org.

PAMPANGUENA IS MRS. UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2012 A thirty four year old free lance model from the province of Pampanga took home the first ever Mrs. Universe Philippines title. Joy Castillo Pasidis bested fourteen other hopefuls as she responded to the final question regarding the best tool to control violence on women and children. "I think EDUCATION is the best tool to control violence on children and women. Women today should be knowledgeable regarding their privilages and the right to exercise their power in order to be respected by all sectors of the society." said Joy. Joy, who works as an events host, will represent the Philippines in the coming Mrs. Universe Beauty Pageant this August 13, 2012. She won a round trip ticket plus pocket money to Rostov, Russia where the international competition will be held. She also won the Fashion Icon special award. Former Miss Philippines Earth finalist (2005) Ma. Theresa Lavinia Fontanilla De Geron was named First Runner Up ( Protector of Life), she also bagged the Mrs. Tourism award. Second Runner Up honor ( Guardian of Hope) went to Lailani Gatdula Llanto who also adjudged Best in Talent. The rest of the top eight are Diana Baculi, Solita Dranto, Jinky Baldoza, Rosielyn Espiritu and Quennie Renira. Members of the panel of judges includes Lord of the Scent Joel Cruz, Mrs. World Philippines 2011 Imelda Martinez, Major Richard Tamayo of Perpetual Help System Dalta and Funfare correspondent Francis Calubaquib. All the fifteen finalists were awarded a special citations. The coronation day was held in one of the major hall at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City. OPMBworldwide would like to thanks the entire organizing committee of Mrs. Universe Philippines led by it's Chairwoman Hemilyn Escudero, members Onin Mas, Marck Charles Salecina, Arlyn Vergara, Gareth Blanco and Connie Crisosotomo Del Rosarion.
