Olivia Culpo (born May 8, 1992) is an American beauty pageant titleholder who won the Miss USA 2012 pageant, representing her home state of Rhode Island. She previously won the 2012 Miss Rhode Island USA competition, which was the first pageant she entered. She currently attends Boston University. She was crowned Miss Universe 2012 in Las Vegas; she's the first winner from USA to obtain the crown since Brook Lee in 1997.

I've liked her since she was competing for Miss USA 2012 and I am very happy to see her as MU 2012, in my 1st predicitions lists here I had her as the winner and some members always said that did not see her as the winner. In pageants anything can happen and NOT ALWAYS THE FAVORITES WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surprise for some, for others no: USA was in the top several times since 2000 (the only of G3 - USA, PR and Venez - who did not win); since 2009 was not finalist; the audiences of MU in USA were falling and the "star" AlyssaCampanella did not won - a number of factors indicating that soon, they would take the crown home again.
Additionally, Olivia was one of the favorites in add lists. In pre-arrivals was 1st, was in 3rd place after the arrivals and finished in 9 place in the final sum.

In my personal list, Olívia was the 4th and Janine the 7th. Congrats to the top 2... I loved.
