Here's a snippet from the interview: Djoa Strasbourg, what is your assessment after first 100 days in office? Djoa Strasbourg: "A very interesting and diverse! It's amazing how many different personalities in various industries I have met in this short time. I was in Munich at a film festival in Mallorca to do the photo shoot for Bon Prix catalog. I was responsible for the organization plan on demonstrating in Bern against child forced marriages. I also have positive experiences with the media so far. Including an original photo shoot with Thomas Buchwalder or with the newspaper reporters came to my home. There were television appearances such as the Daily Talk interview or a funny, crazy encounter the youth channel Joiz TV. Did someone underestimated you because you are a Miss? Did you experience that? "This is the prejudice, but which does not apply to all my predecessors, in the Miss Earth contest. We all know what we are talking. Some people expect that I'm not intellectual to converse with but my crown goes beyond lipstick and makeup." What are your future plans as Miss Earth? "A big event is planned for September. I'm going to travel to Nepal for the project "Because I'am a Girl" of Plan Switzerland, a non-governmental organization. Many girls in third world countries can not go to school today, receive no education, forced marriage, kept as slaves and have zero opportunities to break out of this circle. So we will fly in the second week of September to Kathmandu, then we go to the north-west of Nepal and I'll be able to see the whole picture. When I'm back I'll be able to talk concretely about it and then I will also raise money for this. I'm already planning on working various concepts such as sponsors of runs that hopefully I can perform with the support of the general Swiss public." More

At the age of 24, Osmariel Maholí Villalobos Atencio already has extensive professional resume that could easily open doors for new opportunities. 	The Miss Earth Hawaii beauty pageant has much of the same glamour and glitz of other competitions with contestants strutting across the stage in swimsuits and evening gowns. But they must also spend three minutes talking about the environment and adopt an environmental platform. “We’re really looking for an ambassador for the environment, a beautiful female who cares about where she lives as far as her natural environment,” said pageant director Aureana Tseu, the 2009 Miss Hawaii USA, who knows a little something about pageants. Honolulu will host the Miss Earth USA pageant for the first time Sept. 1 at the Ala Moana Hotel. The event is expected to attract 30 contestants from across the nation. "This is my first full-fledged fashion show. She has also never been to Delhi before, so that's adding to the experience, she says. "I am an out-and-out south Indian, so I have absolutely no idea of anything in north India. What was your best moment in your professional life? When I was asked to star in the movie "Till death do us Part", directed by Abraham Pulido. It was great. Being the star and filming the movie is a wonderful challenge and I'm very grateful for that. You've also dabbled in making fashion accessories, where did get that idea? My grandfather was a goldsmith, always devoted to jewelry and painting. He always made small accessories at home and in the workshop. Reigning Miss Earth Australia Jenna Seymour will swap ball gowns for a caddy at a charity golf day at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club on October 18. Her dad Peter has organised the day to raise much-needed funds for family friend Vicki Caughlan who had a leg amputated after breaking her back in five places in a trail bike accident in 2010. Colyton artist and designer Robyn Caughlan set up Out On A Limb With Vicki Inc to raise funds for her daughter as a part of her ongoing rehabilitation. Vicki needs a new prosthetic leg fitted, which costs up to $80,000. "If you can give your time freely, it would be a good cause," Ms Caughlan said. "It's an amazing golf course so it's an honour to be allowed to play there. It will be exciting for Vicki, who will be there, too." Eight groups of four have registered but an additional 11 are needed. "I got on board with Jenna to help out as Robyn has designed a number of National Costumes for previous Miss Universe Australia representatives," he said. "She designed my eldest daughter Ashleigh's costume when she was crowned Miss Teen Australia in 2006.
