Miss Earth Brazil 2009 - Amazonas won

With the recent announcement of candidates selected for the BELEZA BRASIL - MISS EARTH BRAZIL 2009, the table is full of aspiring young ladies for the title of the largest Brazilian beauty pageant in defense of national ecological cause. They are representatives from 27 states, the national finals will be in Belo Horizonte, from 23 to Nov. 28. This year, it is interesting to note that:

a) Fifteen of the contestants are brunettes, seven are red heads and FIVE are blondes;

b) the average age of the girls is higher than last year (eleven of them, almost 50% of the total number has more than 23 years of age);

c) the level of education  is predominantly university graduates: Four already are trained in top level - Ceara (Journalism), the Federal District (Administration), Sao Paulo (Administration) and Maranhão (Administration); NINETEEN are college students, with a number predominant in law - three: Bahia, Santa Catarina and Tocantins, and four are second year students;

d) The candidates also have a much higher level of stature than that of last year, the highest of all is the representative of Para, with 1.86 m. high; FOUR is 1.80 m. tall (Espirito Santo, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo); SIXTEEN is between 1.75 to 1.78 (Acre, Alagoas, Amazonas, Bahia, Ceara, Goias, Maranhao, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Sul, Roraima, Santa Catarina, Sergipe and Tocantins); FIVE has between 1.71 to 1.74 (Amapá, Federal District, Minas Gerais, Parana and Virginia) and has a 1, 70 (New Hampshire);

e) of the 27 beautiful competitors, SIX have participated directly as candidates from other national competition (Acre, Bahia, Maranhao, Para, Piaui and Rondonia), twenty-one participating for the first time in a national competition, where they had never participated. ELEVEN no other type of competition other than Beauty and its selective (Amazonas, Espirito Santo, Goias, Mato Grosso, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Roraima, São Paulo, Sergipe and Tocantins).

Anyway, the cast is, undeniably, the highest level. All of them arriving in the capital mining on Nov. 23, they appear until 28/11, when the grand finale of BEAUTY BRAZIL - BRAZIL MISS EARTH 2009.
