Lizeth Mahecha (born 1970) was Miss Colombia for 1989 and a contestant at the 1995 Miss Universe Pageant where she placed third.
She later was a televesion actor  and then became a lawyer.

In 1989 Lizeth Yamile Mahecha was a 19 year old from Soledad, who arrived in Cartagena with the dream of winning the Miss Colombia contest for his department. His humble origins and his shyness earned him the nickname 'Cinderella' during the event. And true to the history of the story, Lizeth ended that year with the queen's crown, for that all over the Atlantic, which did not have a Miss Colombia since 1971 when Maria Luisa Lignarolo won the competition.

That year Miss Universe was held in the United States, and Mahecha came in third place . Although many criticized the response to the Colombian gave in the last round of questions , she said it had been a confusion of the translator , who failed to pass the question " if you were not queen, but a judge , which of his companions would the crown. " Amid nerves Lizeth said "would not judge , I'm fine queen ," harming her response ended , and attached to his third.

Mahecha slowly away showbiz since 1998, when it began to lose value in their eyes, and the comfort of home became more attractive. Although continued acting roles were becoming smaller until they moved away from all of the cameras.
