Paula Shugart meet the girls and she is the one who pick the girl for Miss Universe though she's not a judge ..so she pick MJ

like last year the owner of Miss International is the one who pick Bea (so she won Miss International)

there is always a deliberation before announcing the winners including the judges, madam stella and if ever who is present from those international winners/owners

MJ is beautiful in person guys...different from what weve seen in pictures

and some are just beautiful in pictures but something wrong in person (that's why i dont have them on my list)

The problem, Bonner, is the pageant say "beauty pageants". When a girl is not so beautiful for a majority, this will be a problem. I think MJ like MU will have this problem - and th MU is not going well in this aspect (with controversial beauties and elections) since 2011.

So basically, other countries shouldn't even send their girls to Miss Universe pageant.
Because the winner has already been chosen and it's Philippines.

bonner, no doubt that MJ is very beautiful, more than the average girls you will probably meet in the malls or wherever. She has even been a huge fav of many of us during the last years. The thing is that this year she was somehow over prepared, flawless, without any edges (apart from her teeth). She will be again in top 5 at the MU finale because that's how MU goes...

Her face is not commercial enough for GS title like MU.
I personaly don't find her pretty, for me Janine was the best Miss Philippines so far. If they choose Pia or Nicole, they could win MU, but they didn't.
Her body looks great, that is her advantage but I think that it is not enough

I have no doubt she will place and that is cool. After several years of not placing, it is nice to see Philippines back in the game placing in the last 4 editions. While I am not a big fan of MJ, I admire her for keeping after her goal to become Miss Philppines....and I think her "can do" attitude will serve her well at Miss Universe.

Why MJ won Miss Philippines Universe at the third attempt Â Â , because this year was a weak composition of contestants, Â just not from whom to choose. Â For me were the best Miss Philippines 2011 and 2012

i saw all our previous representative in Miss Universe up close and for me the most beautiful in order
from 2009 to 2014

1. Shamcey Supsup - If only she won in 2011
2. Janine Tugonon - Now i love her she look better in person
3. Bianca Manalo - She look better now than during Miss Universe
4. Venus Raj - She look like mannequin in person, exotic
5. MJ Lastimosa - She give me this Beyonce vibe lol
6. Ariela Arida - IMO just average

About MJ , she's consistent from day 1, the way she perform , the way she move , she walk and how she interact to people, media ,she's so very beauty queen... some are not, some are not consistent in activities... IMO if MJ will be consistent from day 1 to the final in MU she really had a big chance.. some girls just look ok in some event then other event are not... It's just that she dont look ok in some pictures, and look manly in some reason .. well we've seen Manly Miss Universe already and short Miss Universe and plane jane Miss Universe...

Though Miss Universe ORG is the one who pick her (actually I heard this past few years , usually MU org is the one who pick our representative for Miss Universe) maybe based from pictures and videos.. , but im not sure if this is true

MJ won in her own merits and effort in Bb Pilipinas , however it's not a guarantee that she will win Miss Universe 2014 .. semi spot is ok for us..

I really want Laura Lehman (and she might our future Miss Universe Philippines)

To Pia (She's never been in my top list, as I never appreciate her beauty honestly, ive seen her in person , they made her skin fake tan and there is something wrong which im not impress but she look gorgeous on most of her pictures and videos , im thinking her camp might send her to compete in Miss World Philippines 2014 and will just reserved Valerie next year... we will see
