Aliki, was not a delegate, she was there to watch the contest.
Members of the jury saw her, called her on stage and offered her the crown! She said no at the begining but then the Prime-minister of Greece Alexandros Zaimis told that representing her country is an importand national matter and so she accepted!
She died in London in October 2002. She was married to Lord Russel, Duke of Bedford since 1945 and had two children, Georgianna and Alexander, she lived a happy life and was memorably beautiful till her last days!

On her wedding day!!!!!!!

How can you correct your rights, If you yourself dont think about whats your mistakes? Maam, I may respect your opinion but you should have to respect the correct spelling of the word english.

Update: Ιn the video, and probably most all of you can't understand, she said that the Miss Europe Contest gave her the opportunity to meet people such as Franklin Roosevelt & Eleanor Roosevelt, Albert Einstein and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry writter of "The Little Prince"!  She was a very lucky girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
