This photo was published on 2^nd October 1957, twelve days before the final night. Miss Canada, Judy Welch, is the first delegate from her country to compete in the Miss World competition. She left Toronto yesterday to stop in Dorval and receive best wishes from her friends in Montreal. Miss Welch holds more than 9 titles, including Miss Maple Leaf-Canada. This means that she is ready to face the competition. The attractive blue-eyed blonde is heading to London, England, where the Miss World competition qualifiers will be held on October 6th at the Lyceum.
