Road to Miss India 2009

There are gonna be 2 pageants before Miss India 2009 -> Miss South India and Miss East India. The winners will get a direct entry in Miss India Top 10.

The auditions for Miss South India have begun. Surprisingly, unlike last year, some really good girls have been selected. Miss South India pageant is in January.

most probably she IS joining... its not 100 % confirmed though. she is already taking training with miss universe in her mind!!

yea, mine too... also a new person is going to handle miss india pageant from this year and not Hemant Trivedi (the one who was bashed a lot for Simran's gown). So hopefully format of Miss India will change after decades and an actually deserving winner will be chosen!!!!

Chennai girls... The girl on left (* corrected *) is very pretty, prettier version of Sarah-Jane. But she needs to tone-up. If she does, she can exhibit the glamor suitable for Top 5 at any international pageant!!!

well, sometimes femina does "fix" things
if you see former miss india pageants, you will note that the winners are not always the ones who did best in the last round.
e.g. neha kapur no way gave the best answer in 2006. (she was top model before pageant and she was "invited". they HAD to crown her.)
same about Puja, her answer was definitely not better than Zoha Tapia's answer and Zoha Tapia dint make to Top 3. (her face lead to the conspiracy. LOL )

I think they will "fix" Harshita this time ;-)

All the girls are PLAIN. (the one sitting was judge - miss india international 2006 Sonali Sehgal)

Bhubaneshwar:

Jugde is Amruta Patki. The right-most girl is somewhat good, still not sure whether she is suitable for Miss India or not. The other two are PLAIN.

Bangalore:

Except the girl on extreme-left, else are nice. The one is green jacket is best and quite suitable for Miss India title.

these two girls have made it from Kolkata. This picture is from last year when they made it to regionals and then failed to make it ahead. they tried again... i think the girl on left, TULIP, has a strong chance to win Miss EAST India. She looks very good, wat say?

BTW: I am not a big fan of Hashita, there is something starnge with her jaw IMO. I don´t wanna see her to win.
