Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 is Madison Anderson...

.Miss Toa Baja, 24-year-old Madison Anderson, was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 in a competition held at the Luis A. Ferré Performing Arts Center in San Juan on Thursday, June 13. She bested 27 other contestants to win the national title and will now prepare to represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant later this year.

The runners-up were Miss San Sebastian, Stephanie Soto and Miss Camuy, Fabiola Valentin. Tanya Romero (Miss Carolina), Verónica Montano (Miss Cayey) and Rebeca Valentín (Miss Dorado) completed the Top 6 finalists.

Madison previously competed in Miss Grand International 2016 in Las Vegas where she placed as 3rd runner-up.

Last year’s winner, Kiara Ortega (Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2018 and Miss Universe 2018 Top 5 finalist) crowned her successor at the end of the glittering event.

Miss Universe Puerto Rico organization is headed by former Miss Universe Denise Quiñones (Miss Universe 2001).

I haven't notice it. On Missosology Puertoricans seem to be very satisfied. Madison was the main fav from the very beginning, there was no surprise at all that she won so where is the problem? There would be cooking show if San Sebastian would have won and it was close! Madison got Puertorican mother so she is 50% puertorican and PR is a territory of USA! Catriona Grey is partial Australian, Megan Young American and Filipinos don't have any problem with it! So why you have?

I prefer Camuy this year , I hope she join again. Such a waste.

I am not a fan of Madison but I can see her as one of the strongest delegates from the Americas. I only remember three Miss Puerto Rico blondie so far Uma Blasini, Mariana Vicente and now Madison Anderson. With these three, I prefer Mariana.

Performance wise she's a catwalk diva!

It's either she will place or will be the next Andrea Toscano.

I live here in PR and many of us are not satisfied with her maybe a 30% like her but the rest...NOT. Yes her mother is puertorrican. One of the rules for MUPR is that you have to live here at least for one year, she doesn't live here, period. She just flew in from Florida, were she lives because, the poor dear did not win her national pageant. Did you see the pageant??? Did you see when she answered the question in the Top 10??? She was a mess, did not answer because she does not know anything about puertorrican culture and tourism (that was the judge's question) she just plain said (English is my first language) and then she said DÉJAME RESPIRAR (let me breathe) the only thing she said in Spanish. People began booing at her and shouting fraud, and she went mute. In other pageant she would not enter then into the Top 3, and she did. Wow!!! A miracle!! This was paid since she arrived here... Period!! And of course she is not the only queen who has paid for the crown. And yes, PR is a territory of the USA, but not a state. Means we have our own culture and heritage, wich Miss Madison doesn't know a thing.

We had another blonde back in 1978, the late Ada Perkins (RIP)
And Laurie Simpson in 1987 (later Miss International 1987)
Miss Madison maybe will be in the Top 16 or will win the Tocuyo Award /aka/ Ruth Ocumarez Award

I understand but as much as I could see all the girls did bad in Q&A portion. Not always this part is so impartant, she was excellent in other parts. Just look at Miss Supra.. Until 2015 there was no interview portion at all. If not Madison then who? There was no good option. She already represented PR and did very well and I think that MU is perfect for her.
