At the Miss Universe 2002 pageant, held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ruth Ocumárez from Dominican Republic, was predicted by many to be the winner or at least a runner up.

She did not place, causing many internet users and bloggers to coin the term the Ruth Ocumárez Award to signify a pageant contestant who seems guaranteed to be a finalist, but does not make the list at the end.

Who will you nominate for this year?

There is only a Top 12 and I am expecting a surprising set of semifinalist this time - so my vote are

I personally do not care for Australia at all so I wouldn't mind her being excluded from the semifinals.

I've read that she is a snob because she comes from a rich family, and does not treat people well, she thinks that she deserves it all. Evil or Very Mad

Here are some of what Mariam did here with her Diva attitude

She stole the Terno of Czech Republic in Vigan Fashion show which is the best Terno in my opinion.

She stepped on the cape of the National Costume of Mauritius reason why she accidentally fell down before she went out onstage and had blood on her lips and on her costume but still was able to manage herself to showcase the National Costume made by Filipino designers

She pushed the back up dancer during rehearsal when its time for her to walk onstage

She stepped the evening dress gown of Peru after the Opening introduction before announcing the Top 13

She had video with Panama bullying Colombia

She had another video right now where she said she will eat and eat so she will get fat and win (refferring to Canada)

And being friendly to Maxine is her strategy to be notice

So yes she is the most Diva candidate and the recipient of the Ruth Ocumarez Award

For me the non placement of venezuela is one of the sign that Miss Universe org changed. they want more fresher and natural beauty than plastic surgery girls. the placement of Kenya and Canada is one of the reason that I also think that. Kenya reactions was so lovely, she was so surprised and so gratefull. It's great for her and her country.
