I hope it won't be held in the Philippines this year. Miss Universe Org was able to take place the pageant in the past in Korea, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Cyprus, Panama, Ecuador, Russia etc. I think the problem is the cost of hosting the pageant

Agree about cost being a factor. When it was held in the Philippines, I was expecting to see the islands showcased as well as tourist spots. With 3 hours, IMG certainly wasted their time with all the inspiring stories nonsense. If I was going to shell out the hosting fee, I'd expect more for the money. IMG has turned a once entertaining show into a pale Miss World/Miss America imitation. Show should go back to 2 hours and if I want to learn about all these inspiring stories, I'll follow the contestants' social media accounts. So sad that Miss Universe is boring now with an awful host.

Miss Universe 2018 will be held again in the Philippines for the 4th time??

Trivia:
The 1st time that the Philippines hosted the Miss Universe pageant was 1974 after Margarita Moran won Miss Universe 1973. She passed her crown to Miss Spain during the end of the pageant.

The 2nd time was 1994 which held at PICC. Charlene Gonzales (Wife of Aga Muhlach) ended as Top 6 finalist, while Sushmita Sen of India won.

Wayback 2016, Philippines hosted the Miss Universe pageant again after Pia won Miss Universe 2015. Maxine Medina is our representative and finished as Top 6 finalist.

And now, A Sandwich Hosting for our country is about to happen! the official announcement of hosting will be on May 8,2018 at Okada Manila.

Two years ago, it was reported Macau was the strong rival of Manila to host #MissUniverse2016. .
Now that Manila is out of the running to host #MissUniverse2018, would you still like Macau, the Las Vegas Of Asia, to bid and host Miss Universe soon?

A friend of mine who has connections with pageant organizers in Thailand who is also a minor International pageant organizer in the Philippines informed me earlier last week that indeed the host country is Thailand

I am planning to book my Trip to Thailand then. I just need confirmation
