The Roman theater of Ostia Antica Erica De Matteis will represent Italy at Miss Universe
The Roman blonde elected by a jury of journalists and film producers on December 17 will participate in the final Miss Universe, event followed by 800 million viewers
Rome - It is Roman in Ostia Antica, very tall and beautiful the girl who will represent Italy in the world final of Miss Universe . Her name is Erica De Matteis , 24, a blonde university student in Educational Sciences , the winner of Miss Universe Italy, the beauty contest that Marco Ciriaci brought back to Italy after an absence of four years.
The jury presided by Vittorio Cecchi Gori and composed among others by Ada Alberti, Franco Oppini, Manila Nazzaro, Kaspar Capparoni, Antonio Giuliani, the film producer Giuseppe Lepore and a large group of journalists, has elected the miss of 12 competitors, aged between 18 and 28 years old, who have tried for two days in some tests in a Roman hotel.
The evening was presented by Emilio Sturla Furnò . The winner will leave for Bangkok in Thailand on November 29 where December 17 will represent Italy in the final of Miss Universe broadcast live on TV by Fox Life. Miss Universe has an audience of 800 million viewers . The beauty contest was born in California in 1952 with Miss Usa.
In life Erica takes care of her small clothing brand " Les Trois ", while in the afternoon she takes her time as a volunteer in the Kim association , a home for children aged 0 to 18, with pathology and serious problems. A large part of these children comes from war zones, some of them seriously injured by the latter. This is why Kim's House helps these little ones, supporting hospital care and taking care of them during their stay in Italy.
