Miss Universe Jamaica 2020 Meet the Top 17 Semi-finalists
Miss Universe Jamaica organization held the first elimination process at the R Hotel in New Kingston on Saturday where 90 entrants began their journey to the national competition and only seventeen made the cut. The organization set out to select 10 prospective contestants for this year’s competition to make a total of 15 with the regional queens. However, at the end of the day 17 finalists were named, one of whom, Nicole Henry, was still in quarantine and had to participate in eliminations via Zoom.
Out of the seventeen finalists, five regional queens are the automatic finalists in the Top 10 - Miss Universe Jamaica West 2020 Ashanti Findley, Miss Universe Jamaica East 2020 Alexia Royal Eatmon, Miss Universe Jamaica Central 2020 Shanique Thompson, Miss Universe Jamaica North East 2020 Samantha Williams and Miss Universe Jamaica North West 2020 Lineisha Davis.

“All 17 girls will go through a second elimination on November 1. After that, we will showcase the 10 who will be moving forward to the grand finals. The regional queens have come at a very high standard and they are automatic finalists. From the 12 that we selected today, only 5 will go through to the finals”, explained Mark McDermoth, director of the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization.
The 17 semi-finalists competing for Miss Universe Jamaica 2020 are Kimberly Dawkins; Monique Thomas; Dailia Harvey; Chavelle Kavanaugh; Ashanti Findley; Abigail Pinnock; Lineisha Davis; Nicole Henry; Briana Russell; Kaydean Sterling; Brianna Bryce; Ramonia Wright; Alexia Royal Eatmon; Shanique Thompson; Miqueal-Symone Williams; Samantha Williams; and Kimberley Hudson.

As the ten final contestants are selected, those will be presented at a virtual sashing on 5th November 2020. The grand finale will be broadcasted on 28th November 2020 where Iana Tickle Garcia Miss Universe Jamaica 2019 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
