Miss World has begun her first visit to the Galápagos Islands! Karolina was welcomed to the Archipelago By Mayor of Santa Cruz, Angel Yanez, the President of the Chamber of Tourism of Galápagos, Eduardo Brito and Lorene Guerra, the Director of Tourism. The Mayor told Karolina that the Galápagos Islands are dedicated to sustainable ecotourism in order to protect the unique marine environment.
Karolina said: "The Mayor arrived on his official Galapagos Island Mayoral Transport. A bicycle!!!!

Miss World Karolina visited the spectacular Marine life that fills the Galapagos Islands. The tour was led by the Captain and crew of the Windrose. 'The crew of the Windrose are so passionate about their Galapagos home and the animal, fish and bird species that inhabit the islands.' Karolina arrived at Bartholomew Island, a volcanic island with a Jurassic landscape. To reach the top of the volcano there were 365 steps that needed to be climbed first but the journey to the summit gave the ideal opportunity to take in the breathtaking vista and to see abundant birdlife in its natural habitat. 'My favourite part was getting to the top and seeing the stunning views from this volcanic island we also came across a young hawk that came almost in touching distance. The hawk kept flying around and perching himself and posing for photographs

On her first day in the Galapagos, Karo visited the Charles Darwin Research Station, where she became a godmother of one of the scalloped hammerhead sharks, named Biela,  to raise awareness about their protection and will receive periodic updates about her movements, as well as information about shark conservation
