MISS UNIVERSE ITALY 2009 IS LAURA VALENTI

The Miss Universe Italy final will take place this May 24 at Riccione/Italy. Castings are currently on in all regions of Italy during regional selections and the Miss Web contest. There are again different steps to take on the way to Miss Universe Italy:

1. Regional selections: the winners enter the pre-final.
2. Miss Web: out of 30 selected girls, online voters (users of Virgilio.it) choose 20 girls who will enter the pre-final.
3. Pre-Final: during the pre-final, the 24 finalst will be choosen only one day before the grand final.

This means, all candidates will participate in the pre-final and grand final. The names of the 24 finalist will be announced at the evening of the national final only.

The last year, Riyo was attend the finals and Dayana was the roomate of Claudia, so will be simbolic for me if this happen Very Happy

Her result at MU was not so bad, top 10 at the end! If we like it or not is another question

There's nothing official, but I'm quite sure Dayana will attend the Italian MU final...

true, she did waaaaaaaay better than she was expected...not onlu penetration top 15 but also top 10.......who would have thought of that when we first saw her.

yeah i remember Italiano's reaction when claudia won... lol...

claudia did very well in MU. she'ss looking very good in her recent photos. she had poor styling during MU (straight hair is better for claudia), and the outdated gown didn't help either... she should've worn the designer (gucci?) gown she wore during her national finals.

Dayana also was help her on make up, because she was told that she cant learn make up alone.

Sicily - May 7
Lombardy - May 9
Tuscany - May 9
Lazio - May 9
Puglia - May 15
Campagna/Basilicata - ???
Sardinia - September 12, 2008

Last year, the winners of the regional finals were directly qualified for the grand final of Miss Universe Italy. The winners of the regional selections (castings) were qualified for the semi-final. As the numbers of the semi-finalists is expected to be very high, there won't be an official list of contestants before the day of the semi-final. The finalists will be revealed the night of the grand final only.
