This territory started participating at Miss Universe in 1961. They first competed under the name of Virgin Islands until 1978 and in 1979 started participating as US Virgin Islands. They competed a total of 41 times, placing only once, in 1971 when Cherrie Raphaelia Creque made the top 12. Their last participation was in 2019. ✨
