Miss Wales 2023
Millie-Mae Adams from Cardiff was crowned Miss Wales 2023 on Saturday, 15th April 2023 at The Riverfront in Newport. Adams bested 28 other finalists to win the national crown. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Wale 2022 Darcey Corria and will represent Wales at Miss World 2024.
Millie-Mae Adams is 20 years of age and a first-year medical student at the University of Exeter. Millie-Mae is a Yale Young Global Scholar, and an ambassador for Calan DVS, one of the largest domestic abuse charities in Wales with a mission to end domestic violence and abuse.
On winning the national crown, Adams took to her official social media as she wrote, “I don’t even know where to begin with all the thank yous that are due for the unwithering support. Miss Wales has given me opportunities I couldn’t have even dreamt of.”
The newly crowned Miss Wales 2023 Millie-Mae Adams’ court included –
1st Runner-up – Zoe Scrimshaw from Chepstow, Monmouthshire
2nd Runner-up – Helena Hawke from Caerleon
Millie-Mae Adams is an alopecia advocate who has suffered from the hair loss condition herself for two years. She also founded the non-profit Street Doctors Exeter whose latest campaign ‘8 Minutes to Save a Life’ provides young people training on how to act as first responders if they come across a victim of a knife attack.
