British actress Lucy Gordon, 28, who acted in the film 'Spiderman 3', committed suicide on Wednesday in his apartment in Paris, announced Thursday that his agent Elizabeth Simpson.

"On Wednesday, May 20, the actress Lucy Gordon took his own life," said Simpson in a statement.

Lucy Gordon, who would turn 29 years on Friday, May 22, had recently acted in a film by Joann Sfar 'Gainsbourg (Fri HEROIQUE)' in which embodied the singer Jane Birkin.

Gordon lived in France, where he shot some fifteen films and television dramas, including the 'Perfume' by Michael Rymer and Hunter Carson, or 'Spiderman 3', by Sam Raimi.

"The film 'Gaingsbourg (Fri HEROIQUE), owes much to the generosity, the kindness and the immense talent of Lucy Gordon, said Wednesday in a statement the director Joan Sfar and producers Marc du Pontavice and Didier Lupfer. The film had just been presented at Cannes, where he currently holds the 62nd edition of the famous International Film Festival.
