exactly and i find there typical beauty queens boring and repetetive. than isabel came in with confidence in who she was and her skin color and just brought her all and they duped her. well i hope she can at least go to new york or london or something and get a modeling contract with an agency that will rep her well until she returns to pageants. i just love her deep skin and her dollish looks. she is like that doll u always wanted when u were younger come to life. :-107--: cheering her on in the furthering of her career.

you know what I've come to realize "tuc"???.......Brazilians generate AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL, UNIQUE, AND EXOTIC fashion and High Fashion models but VERY VERY WEAK AND MEDIOCRE Beauty Queens......once in while they may send a STUNNER to a pageant but they tend to look the same after a while......Girls who want to learn about Modelling, becoming a model and fashion go to Brazil.....Girls that want to learn about Pageants, Swimsuit, Evening gown, and Walking go to Venezuela!!!

Luiciana Bertolini says No to Deforestation.

Miss World Brazil 2009, Luciana Bertolini, visited Tuesday (13) a unit of Carrefour in Sao Paulo in order to educate consumers in the supermarkets on buying beef.

Luciana asked the director of the sustainability of the supermarkets, Paul Pianez on the policy that the company is taking to ensure that the product the consumer buys does not contribute to deforestation and consequently to climate change

Pianez said that with regard to meat, Carrefour has a global program called Guarantee of Origin, which states that the animal is raised in a region where there is no illegality or social environment, thereby ensuring that the farm where the meat is being produced is not illegal, including the health of this animal also, something that other labels do not guarantee. Since the breeding and fattening of the cut, if you can follow the cycle of the animal, enabling customers to know exactly where it comes from the piece of flesh that is on the shelf.

Luciana Bertolini also visited the area of wood of Carrefour. The question again is: what is the criterion for buying wood furniture?


Paul Pianez, director of sustainability supermarket chain, contends that Carrefour has developed own brand products through the use of certified wood. The line 'Garden Deco' is made from FSC wood. Carrefour is extending this process to its suppliers of wood furniture, so you have come certified.

Luciana also been in a Walmart supermarket unit and talk with the consultant's Sustainability Walmart Brazil, Yuri Feres.

Luciana Bertolini also visited the area of wood of Carrefour. The question again is: what is the criterion for buying wood furniture?

Miss A said that he used his image to promote a campaign on responsible consumption, especially of wood-based products and meat. The logging and livestock are a major cause of deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon. With this action, Luciana expects large companies to disclose the cause.

One of the great contributions that supermarkets could give consumers and the planet would not encourage the purchase of products that are derived or causing degradation of forests. Luciana asks the consultant to know how Walmart can assure the consumer that the product did not contribute to deforestation and consequently to climate change.

Continuing on his day's activities on behalf of conscientious consumption, the 2009 Miss World Brazil Luciana Bertolini also visited the D & D mall in Sao Paulo, talking to the designer Christian Ullman, curator of the Exhibition Design & Nature. She questioned him about the concern of the design time to create a piece that contributes to conscious consumption.


The action is part of the campaign "for a Miss World with zero deforestation" that in partnership with Friends of the Earth - Brazilian Amazon seeks to end the devastation of the Amazon.
