In July of 1992, Jody Barbara Weech of Alice Town, Bimini Island in the Bahamas won the Miss Commonwealth Bahamas Beauty Pageant at the Le Cabaret Theatre on Paradise Island off of Nassau, New Providence Isl., Bahamas. This prestigious title earned her the right to represent her country, The Commonwealth of the Bahamas, at the Miss World Pageant held in Sun City, South Africa.

Jody, who stands at 5ft 10 inches with mesmerizing emerald-green eyes and a Natural Beauty that has yet to be contested, went to South Africa with little Training and has become the first and only Bahamian woman to ever place in the top 10 and earn the title Miss World Continental Queen for the Caribbean 1992.

She became an instant fashion icon and staple of Beauty for these lovely isles of June....therefore I dub her the Goddess of the Bahamas and Queen of Beauty for the Isles of June.
