Its been like this since the pageant was created in 2002 and started sending the Canadian representative to Miss Universe in Miss Universe 2003. Personally, the first few years, so from 2003 to 2006 inclusively, the best girls were from Ontario and all of them deserved their win. Starting from 2007 and onwards, the girl that ends as 1st runner up is usually the best girl of the bunch, but since she's not from Ontario, it probably works against her. Ramona Amiri was 1st runner up to Inga Skaya in 2007, Sahar Biniaz was 1st runner up to Samantha Tajik in 2008 and Yllenia Aurucci was 1st runner up to Mariana Valente in 2009. All these 3 runners up were far more superior than the original winners. Hopefully, this year the best girl will win and location won't be a decisional factor.

Chelsae Durocher is very pretty and the 2nd runner-up position from Miss Global Teen helps her to fight for the Miss Universe Canada title. Plus she is from Ontario
Anyway the Ontario advantage is really unfair...
